Heidi Henry – Who is SHE?

SHE is Resourceful.  Heidi Henry is the owner of Savvy reStyle Market. After selling her furniture store in 2014, she envisioned opening a space where creative people would come and create. While researching creative business models, she discovered the Maker Movement that was sweeping America and that the movement would be getting stronger in our area. Heidi opened the first Savvy reStyle Market in April 2014, in her soon-to-be-sold furniture store in Greer before relocating to Taylors Mill. After eight monthly markets, Savvy was displaced from the Mill due to code issues. However, Savvy has continued to thrive, hosting monthly “pop-up” markets over the next 1 1/2 years. Since 2014, Savvy reStyle Market has hosted close to thirty markets!

Heidi Henry’s vision for the Savvy family has been to find affordable spaces to minimize the overhead cost for the Makers, therefore increasing their profit margins. Her vision for the community is for local shoppers to find a repetitive venue where they can find quality, locally handcrafted, upcycled, and vintage goods. “Strength in Community” and “Partnering for Creative Success” have become the Market’s motivational mottos. Savvy reStyle Market has thoroughly enjoyed partnering with local events (like SHE Greenville!) as they continue to grow and strive for success!

SHE is Industrious. Heidi Henry’s involvement with the City of Greer has spanned years. Her furniture store was located in Greer and with Savvy, she has hosted numerous pop-up markets in Downtown Greer. Heidi has been a member of the Greer Chamber of Commerce and has thoroughly enjoyed the ongoing relationship with downtown Greer.

Savvy reStyle Market has also had a great working friendship with Taylors TownSquare. When this nonprofit organization listened to the voice of the Taylors Community and initiated the new Taylors Farmers Market, Heidi became the team’s Vendor Coordinator. After eighteen months of envisioning and planning, the new Taylors Farmers Market opened for its inaugural season with a bang on May 5, 2016, at Taylors Mill.

SHE is Compassionate. In 2015, a college friend asked Heidi to be part of a strategic group of women whose expertise spans across issues that women and girls are facing all around the world. Hearts & Hope Global Solutions works to stop the exploitation of women and girls by equipping them for future success. Heidi’s role is to work with artisans all over the world and help establish venues to sell their wares so that “together we can give hope to women and girls who are unreached, exploited, and considered expendable.” As believers and followers of Jesus, Heidi and her husband and are also the youth leaders at their church.

SHE is Gracefully Grounded. After graduating from nursing school, Heidi went to live and work in a remote bush area in Liberia, West Africa.  Training to be in charge of a medical mission clinic, Heidi delivered babies, among many other amazing experiences. Not long after her arrival in 1989, the Liberian Civil War broke out in the area where she was living and two members of her team were killed in crossfire. Eventually, all Americans were evacuated from Liberia. It was quite an experience for a twenty-two year old!

Heidi’s family “rocks her world” and decisions in her life are made for them, first and foremost. With a Masters degree in Nursing, Heidi left the medical field to follow her passion and to have the freedom to make her family her first priority.

Heidi is an avid DIYer with her favorite canvas being spaces. With her husband, she has rehabbed multiple old homes and rooms. She particularly enjoys designing and creating on a dime; whether that be rehabbing an old space, building a new house, or working on a small project.

SHE is a Cultivator of Creativity. SHE is Heidi Henry!
